CLUB MANAGER

TENNIS DIRECOR

Mike Smookler, Manager of WOTC, blends passion and expertise to lead a top-tier tennis program that serves players of all levels. An RSPA Elite Certified Coach since 1994, he emphasizes technical excellence and community engagement. Honors include: 2005 RSPA New England Facility Manager of the Year, 2006 USPTA New England Pro of the Year, 2017 RSPA Eastern High School Coach of the Year, 2019 RSPA Eastern Pro of the Year, and 2023 RSPA Eastern Club Manager of the Year. A former captain at Lyndon State College, he helped his team reach the NAIA National Tournament three straight years. He currently serves on the RSPA Eastern Board as past President.

Thiago brings nearly a decade of dedicated service and comprehensive experience to his role as Director of Operations at the West Orange Tennis Club. Having started in maintenance, moved to the front desk, and handled bookkeeping, Thiago possesses an unparalleled understanding of the club's daily operations. This hands-on background allows him to ensure a seamless and exceptional experience for every member. He is committed to upholding the club's standards and fostering a vibrant community for all.

Born and raised in Jersey City, Dillon is a cornerstone of daily life at WOTC, balancing operations, front desk leadership, and USTA tournament management. Known for his energy and professionalism, he ensures a smooth, welcoming experience for members and guests - supporting players and families, running events, and keeping the club humming with a positive, can‑do attitude.

Pat Maginley has been a valued member of the West Orange Tennis Club team since 2018, serving as both a front desk associate and the club’s in-house caterer. Known for her warm, welcoming personality and exceptional attention to detail, Pat helps ensure smooth day-to-day operations, running our summer morning round robins while also elevating the club experience with her high-quality food and hospitality. Her dedication, reliability, and versatility make her an indispensable part of the WOTC community.
